Apple Pie Filling: 1. Peel and dice 2-3 apples. 2. In a pan over medium heat, sauté apples in 2 tbsp butter for 5 mins. 3. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Simmer for 5 mins. 4. Add cornstarch and simmer for an additional 5 mins. Assembly: 1. Use a mason jar lid to cut out circles in store-bought pie dough. 2. Roll out scraps and cut into strips for the top layer. 3. Spoon apple pie filling onto the mini pie circles. Top with dough strips and coat in egg wash. 4. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 mins.View original recipe
