Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

Brown butter is my jam! It takes recipes to a whole new level, especially this chocolate chip skillet cookie. Baking this dessert brought back a flood of memories from my college days, making skillet cookies with my roomies.

What you need

fine sea salt

baking soda

all purpose flour

vanilla extract

egg

granulated sugar

light-brown sugar

unsalted butter
Instructions
In a saucepan, brown the butter on low-medium for 5- 10 minutes. Continually stir to avoid burning. Once brown, immediately transfer to a separate bowl and allow the butter to cool for 10 minutes. 1. Beat the brown butter with brown sugar & granulated sugar. Allow it to fully mix. This will be around 2 minutes. 2. 3. Then add egg, egg yolk, & vanilla extract. Beat again. In a separate bowl, whisk together all purpose flour, baking soda, & salt. Then mix into the wet mixture. 4. 5. Mix in semisweet chocolate chips. 6. Grease a 12 inch cast iron skillet. Add your cookie dough into the skillet, Top with additional chocolate chips. 7. 8. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
